The fabulous thriller-comedy "Charade" from 1963 is not only worth seeing for its pacy, twisty plot and
George Clooney Cary Grant but also for the uber-chic costumes Hubert de Givenchy created for main actress and muse Audrey Hepburn. We see monochromatic looks (leopard print counts as monochromatic, of course) consisting of straight dresses and coats with oversized buttons, styled to perfection with matching accessories - long leather gloves, small (reptile) leather bags, flat shoes and to-die-for sunglasses, not to forget all those stunning headpieces such as pillbox hats and knotted scarves. Refined elegance, very early 60s, yet very timeless and still relevant in its minimalistic approach. Get the movie "Charade"
